Trespassing – Possession of Stolen Property

Officers responded to a report of a trespasser. The witness reported that he had been driving by and observed a suspicious individual standing in front of his apartment alcove. The witness turned around and approached the apartment again but did not locate the suspect. As the witness speaking with the responding officers, the suspect exited the building and was detained by the officers. A search of the suspect revealed a stolen package in his possession. The suspect was released after the victim and witness involved declined to press charges.
