Officers were on patrol in the area when a vehicle failed to stop at a red light. The officers conducted a traffic stop and the driver, who appeared intoxicated, immediately exited the vehicle and approached the officers without regard to multiple orders from the officers. After failing to comply, the driver then entered his vehicle and refused to get back out again. A computer check revealed that the driver’s license had been suspended for a previous DUI. The driver was transported to the hospital for testing and was later arrested.
