Traffic Violation – Suspended Driver’s License – Cited

An officer was on patrol and observed a vehicle failing to stop at a red light. The officer conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, who requested to be given a warning instead of a citation. A computer check revealed that the driver had six citations over the past 16 months and a suspended license. After further investigation, the driver was cited for the violation.
Illegal Fireworks

18th Ave & Ulloa St
Officers were on patrol in the area when they observed a group of people suspiciously clustered together in the middle of an intersection. The officers exited their vehicle and the group immediately began to walk away from them. The group was detained and a search revealed that they were in possession of numerous illegal fireworks. The fireworks were collected by the officers and were later safely disposed of.
Stolen Vehicle – Arrested

500 Ortega St
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle with windows that had been suspiciously covered up. Responding officers located the vehicle and made c contact with the occupants of the vehicle. A computer check on the vehicle revealed that it had been reported stolen. A search of the interior of the vehicle located multiple items that may have been stolen from online order packages. After further investigation, the suspects were arrested.
