Arson – Battery on a Police Officer – Arrested

2300 19th Ave
Officers were on patrol in the area when the witness, a store employee, approached them and reported that the suspect had walked behind the counter and approached the register in an attempt to steal money from the store. The witness immediately exited the store and locked the suspect inside. The officers attempted to  instruct the suspect to exit the store but the suspect belligerently refused and responded defiantly. The suspect then poured oil inside the store and lit it on fire with a store lighter before running outside. The officers subdued the suspect, despite the suspect biting, spitting on and kicking the officers. The suspect was later arrested and the fire was successfully extinguished. 

Battery

Junipero Serra Blvd & Font Blvd
Officers responded to a report of an incident of battery and made contact with the parties involved. The first party stated that she was slapped after telling the second party not to smoke. The second party responded that the first party had kicked them after feeling offended that the second party had looked at them. Both parties decided to press charges against the other party.
