Assault with a Knife – Battery – Arrested

The victim reported that the suspect, her 16 year old son, had been smoking marijuana earlier that morning and moved his bed to block the window. The victim told the suspect to move the bed back but the suspect responded angrily and yelled at the victim before punching the victim several times. The suspect broke the victim’s TV and her laptop before the victim was able to call the police. Before the officers’ arrival, the suspect then threatened the victim with a knife while demanding to see the victim’s call log. Responding officers arrived at the location and the suspect, who was still holding the knife, advanced towards them.  The suspect then stated that he wanted the officers to shoot him so his mother could watch it happen. The officers disarmed the suspect with a bean bag round and arrested him.

Officers responded to a report of an incident of battery. The victim stated that an unknown suspect had pushed him on to the ground.
