Assault

1000 Quintara St
Officers responded to a report of an assault. The victim reported that the suspect was observed walking into a store and went to question the suspect before asking him to leave the store. Initially, the suspect refused the request but eventually walked away. However, the suspect immediately returned and sprayed the victim with pepper spray.  

Battery

00 Cragmont Ave
Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim reported that he had encountered issues with construction that was happening next door and complained about wet debris that had accumulated nearby. The suspect inspected the debris and the incident escalated into an argument before the suspect pushed the victim. 

Stolen Vehicle – Possession of Stolen Property with Knowledge – Cited

Great Hwy & Balboa St
Plain clothes officers were on patrol in the area when they observed a vehicle that was parked in the bicycle lane. A computer check on the vehicle’s license plate revealed that it had been reported stolen. The officers detained the suspect, who had returned to the vehicle and was attempting to fill it with gas from a portable tank. Despite a VIN computer check also confirming that the vehicle had been reported stolen, the suspect stated that a friend had lent him the vehicle. After further investigation, the suspect was cited.
