Traffic Violation – Suspended Driver’s License – Cited

19th Ave & Ulloa St
Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle failing to stop at a red light on 19th Avenue. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check revealed that the driver’s license had been suspended. The driver stated that he thought he had enough time to safely cross the intersection while it was at a yellow light but then had to speed up to make sure. The driver was cited.

Junipero Serra Blvd
Officers were on patrol in the area when they observed a motorcycle with an expired registration tab. The motorcycle then proceeded to make a right turn without stopping on a red light. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check revealed that the rider did not have a motorcycle license. The rider was cited.

Vandalism to MUNI Bus – Arrested

19th Ave & Holloway Ave
The witness, the MUNI driver, reported that he had been parked at the bus stop but the bus was not yet in service when there was a sudden loud noise. The witness investigated and discovered that the suspect was kicking the front door of the bus and causing it to break. Responding officers arrived at the location and after further investigation, the suspect was arrested. 

Robbery

100 Font Blvd
Officers responded to a report of a robbery. The victim reported that she had been at the basement of the apartment complex when the suspect suddenly approached her and punched her twice. The suspect then initiated an argument about the victim talking to the suspect’s husband and demanded the victim’s cell phone. The victim refused and the suspect forcefully took the victim’s cell phone and fled the area. The victim stated that she did not know who the suspect was talking about. 

Assault

Alemany Blvd & Crystal St
Officers responded to a report of an assault. The victim reported that he had been living in a tent when an acquaintance, the suspect, had suddenly approached him and hit him with a bat. The victim stated that the suspect did not say anything while he was hitting him. 

Shoplifting – Threats – Brandishing a weapon

3200 20th Ave
The victim, a store employee, reported that the suspect had walked up to the register and asked for a bag. The victim replied that he couldn’t give him a bag without a purchase being made. The suspect responded angrily and threatened to harm the victim before partially taking what looked like the bottom portion of a gun out of his pocket. The suspect then stole multiple items of merchandise as he walked out of the store afterwards.
