Burglary of a Vehicle – Resisting Arrest – Arrested

During a vehicle burglary and theft abatement operation, officers observed a vehicle suspiciously stop behind a parked vehicle before the suspect, a passenger, exited their vehicle. The suspect then approached the parked vehicle and broke a window with an unknown tool before reaching in and taking several items from inside the vehicle. The suspect then returned to his vehicle and fled the area. The officers coordinated a traffic stop, disabled the vehicle and detained the three suspects, despite an attempt to flee from their stalled vehicle. After further investigation, all three suspects were arrested.

The victim reported that he had been inside his home when he heard the doorbell ring and a knocking noise at his front gate. The victim walked out and observed the suspect suspiciously in front of the victim’s garage door. The victim attempted to take a photo of the suspect but the suspect ran towards the victim and forcefully took the phone away from the victim. The suspect then immediately fled the area.
