Vandalism – Theft – Arrested
10:16 pm
100 Yerba Buena Ave
The witness reported that she had heard noises and when she went to investigate, she observed the suspect carrying boxes and dropping them into nearby bushes. Shortly afterwards, a vehicle suspiciously pulled up to the area. Responding officers arrived at the location and observed that the reported boxes were filled with pieces of metal gutters. The officers made contact with the driver of the vehicle and were told that the driver was there to pick up a friend, who was scavenging the area for metal to recycle. A search revealed a nearby building that was missing a metal gutter. The victim reported that the building’s gutter had been in place recently and should not have been missing. The officers located the suspect and after further investigation, both the suspect and the driver of the vehicle were arrested.
