Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim reported that he had been inside a restaurant when he heard the suspect say offensive things to an employee. The victim intervened and the suspect responded by engaging in a physical altercation. The victim stated that after the incident, his cell phone was discovered missing and believed that the suspect may have taken it.
