An officer was conducting speed enforcement with LIDAR and tracked a vehicle traveling at 55 mph in a 35 mph zone. The driver was observed with watery eyes and drooping eyelids while a moderate odor of alcoholic beverages emanated from the driver’s breath and body. A search revealed that the suspect was also in possession of a clear packet containing a white crystalized substance. After failing a field sobriety test, the driver was arrested.
