Assault – Case# 220838148

3000 San Jose Ave
Officers responded to a report of an assault. The victim, a store employee, stated that the suspect had been asked to leave the store after riding their scooter inside the store. A verbal argument ensued and the suspect swung their helmet at the victim’s head before exiting the store.  

Battery – Case# 220837996

700 Irving St
Officers responded to a report of a suspect armed with a knife. The victim stated that they had walked into a restaurant and recognized the suspect, who was known to the victim, and three of the suspect’s friends. A verbal argument ensued between the victim and the suspects before the victim exited the restaurant. Once outside, the suspects followed the victim and assaulted the victim. One of the suspects then went to their vehicle and removed a knife, which they swung threateningly in the victim’s direction.  

Suspended Driver’s License – Case# 220836647

Lincoln Way & 11th Ave
Officers assisted in an exchange of information after an accident that did not result in injuries. During the exchange, it was revealed that one of the parties involved did not have a valid California driver’s license. The driver was cited.

Shooting – Case# 220836835

Granada Ave & Holloway Ave
Officers were on patrol in the area when they heard the sound of gunshots and a vehicle speeding towards them before stopping. The victim exited the vehicle and reported that they had just been shot at while inside a nearby liquor store. The victim stated that the suspect was the same person who had pointed a gun at the victim’s boyfriend a week ago. Once the victim recognized the suspect, the victim immediately fled the area in their vehicle and saw the suspect shooting at them while they were driving away. The victim, who was uninjured, then continued to drive until they reached the officers.
