Homicide – Case# 230871984

2900 San Jose Ave
Officers responded to the area of San Jose Ave and Plymouth Ave regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive adult male with apparent gunshot wounds. Officers administered medical aid, including cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and summoned paramedics to the scene. Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. No arrests have been made at this time.

The victim and his friends were outside when two suspects approached and grabbed the victim’s phone from his hand. The victim then offered money to get his cell phone back, but the suspect took the money and still walked off with the phone.

Brandishing a Weapon – Case# 230873219

Ocean Ave & 22nd Ave
The victim, a delivery driver, was working when the suspect’s vehicle cut in front of him causing the victim to honk his horn. The suspect vehicle made a U-turn, pulled up beside the victim and pointed a firearm at the victim before asking why the victim had honked at them. The suspect then drove away.

The victim, a store employee, reported that the suspect had walked in and pointed a firearm at them before demanding money. The suspect then fled the area with the victim’s property.

Ocean Ave & Miramar Ave
Officers were on patrol when they observed two people in a heated argument and made contact with both parties. The first party, the victim, stated that the second party, the suspect, had hit the victim’s dog with a thrown object yesterday. The victim had confronted the suspect, who responded by punching the victim. After further investigation, the suspect was cited.
