Officers responded to a call of a verbal threat. Upon arrival at the scene, officers met with the male victim. The man explained to the officers that an unknown man was threatening him through phone calls. The man told the officers the unknown caller knew his name and might know his home address.
Residential Burglary

Officers responded to a residential burglary. The officers were met by the contractor who was in charge of remodeling the home. The contractor told the officers the house was locked up, and when he returned the garage and front door were open. The contractor explained to the officers many power tools and items were stolen. The contractor believes the roll up garage door was point of entry.

An officer responded to a residential burglary. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer was met by a man and woman stating their bicycles were stolen from their multiple apartment building. The man explained to the officer he left his bicycle unlocked against a bike rack in the garage and the next day it was stolen. The woman stated to the officer she saw the apartment building garage door was left opened and noticed her bicycles missing.

Officers enforced a traffic stop which resulted in a warrant arrest. Officers were on patrol and noticed a vehicle not coming to a complete stop. After a computer query, the officers discovered the driver had an arrest warrant. The man was arrested and booked at Taraval Station.
False Identity and Possession of Stolen Items

Officers detained a man for false identity and having possession of stolen items. The officers stopped the male suspect after the male committed a traffic violation. The suspect gave the officers a fake name and possessed no identification. The suspect agreed to a search and officers found stolen mail in his possession. The suspect then stated to the officers his real name and stated he found the mail. The man was arrested and booked at Taraval Station for stolen property and providing false information.

A woman came into Taraval Station to report identity theft. The woman explained to the officers she received a phone call from a collection agency stating she owes money. The woman contacted her credit card company and found out that an unknown suspect opened an account in her name. The woman stated she did not give anyone permission to use her personal information or to open a new credit card account.

A man and his wife came into Taraval Station to report identity theft. The couple explained to the officer they were notified by their bank about suspicious activity within one of their accounts. The couple stated they did not authorize and did not give permission to anyone to use their information. The couple did not suffer any financial losses.

A uniformed officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a nonfunctional brake light. The officer approached and identified the driver. After a computer query, the officer discovered the driver’s driving license was suspended. The man was cited for driving with a suspended license and nonfunctional brake light.

Officers responded to a burglary call. Upon arrival to the scene, officers spoke to the victim who described leaving his front door unlocked during the night, and awakening to discover various items missing from his residence. The officers determined the point of exit and entry for the unknown suspect to be the front door.

Officers responded to a call of residential burglary and trespassing. Upon arrival to the scene, officers spoke to the victim who described an unknown male unlocking her front door and verbally harassing her once inside. The suspect then left the scene. Officers determined no items were actually taken from the residence. Suspect: African American, Male, 5’7,” between 40 and 55 years old. LSW: white hat, white shirt, blue jeans.

An officer at Taraval Station was approached by a victim reporting a case of vandalism to his vehicle. The victim parked his car on the street, and returned later to find key scratches on the doors of his vehicle.

A man came into Taraval Station to report theft. The man explained to the officer he had an estate sale at his home and noticed items missing after the sale concluded. The man stated he had “do not enter” signs on his office and bedroom doors. The man believes someone went into those rooms during the estate sale and stole his belongings.

Officers responded to a call regarding shoplifting. Upon arriving to the scene officers were met by a security guard who reported a known shoplifter stealing merchandise. The security guard gave the reporting officers the surveillance footage which reveals the shoplifting incident. The suspect is a known shoplifter in the area.

A woman came into Taraval Station to report fraud. The woman explained to the officer she bought two tickets to the Outside Lands Music Festival from a man off Craigslist. The woman stated after she bought the tickets she went online to check if they were legitimate and found out the tickets were counterfeit. The woman paid a large cash sum of U.S. currency for the tickets.
Suspect: Male, African American, 6’0”, 200 lbs, between 20-30 years old, LSW: Light Colored Dress Shirt, Brown Slacks, Short Buzz Cut Hair.

A man came into Taraval Station to turn in a counterfeit bill. The man stated he withdrew money out of an ATM earlier that day and noticed something different about a particular bill. The man stated the paper felt different and there was no watermark on the bill.

Residential Burglary – Forcible Entry – Stolen Bicycle

Officers responded to a residential burglary with forcible entry. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a man who stated that a suspect stole his bicycle from the foyer area of his home. The outer gate and frame were damaged, and the gate was forced opened. The officer observed that the outer gate appeared to have been pried opened, and there was visible damage to the gate and the frame. The officer determined the point of entry and exit to be the outer gate.

Officers responded to a shoplifting incident. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met loss prevention agents who stated that they saw the suspect select and conceal multiple store merchandise inside a bag. The suspect then proceeded to the cash registers where he only purchased one item. The suspect exited the building without making an attempt to pay for the rest of the concealed store merchandise. The officers cited the suspect for petty theft.

A woman came into Taraval Station to file an identity theft report. She stated to the officer that credit card companies sent her notices for additional information to process her credit card applications. When she contacted the companies, they advised her that a suspect used her personal information to open accounts. The woman stated that she did not apply for any of the credit card accounts, and she did not give anyone permission to use her information to do so. The officer provided her with a follow-up form.

Officers responded to a suspicious occurrence. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a man who stated that a suspect possibly broke into his vehicle. One of his neighbors notified him that they saw the suspect closing the trunk of his vehicle. His neighbor did not see the suspect enter the vehicle or take any items from the vehicle.

An officer responded to a death report. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met a man who stated that his deceased mother suffered from a disease and was on medication. A medical examiner later arrived on scene to take charge of this investigation.

Officers observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. When the officers attempted to catch up to the vehicle, the vehicle accelerated even further away from the officers. The officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver. A DMV check revealed that the driver’s license was suspended. The officers cited the driver for driving with a suspended license and driving over the speed limit.

Officers responded to a call of vandalism to a commercial building’s windows. Upon arrival to the scene, officers met with a witness who described seeing a man across the street punch a glass window. Suspect: Hispanic, Male, 5’8,” between 20 and 30 years old. LSW: Black hoody, black shorts.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for driving without a front license plate. Upon investigating the driver of the vehicle, the officer discovered that the driver did not possess a valid license. The driver of the vehicle was cited for driving with a suspended license and no front license plate, and was released on the scene.

Officers responded to a call of burglary with forcible entry. Upon arriving at the scene officers were met by an employee stating when he arrived for work he noticed the front door forced open and contacted his boss. The boss stated to the officers the front and interior doors were damaged and a preliminary inventory indicated that there was nothing was missing from his store.

An officer responded to a commercial burglary call. The officer was met by the store owner stating that someone had broken into his store and stole his safe. The owner stated the safe contained a large cash sum of U.S. currency.
