Officer patrolling that area of 9th Ave and Lawton Street and saw a catalytic converter theft in progress. Officer initiated a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle and the suspect vehicle drove away in a reckless manner. Officer returned to the scene of the crime and recovered a stolen vehicle. Suspects got away.
