Officers responded to a report of a suspect firing a round from a firearm. Officers arrived on the scene and detained the suspect. Officers located the firearm in the bag that he was carrying. The suspect told the officers that he was upset and depressed, so he fired his gun. Officers did not find any damages to property or injuries. The suspect was cited for discharging a firearm and possession of a firearm. The suspect was transported to the hospital for a mental evaluation.
