Mayor Edwin Lee exhibited his table tennis skills at the 4th Annual Chinatown Sunday Streets and the Chinatown Ping Pong Tournament on August 17, 2014.
The Mayor kicked off the Tournament with a brief remark and an exhibition game!
“San Francisco is proud to have Sunday Streets back in Chinatown showcasing our City’s commitment to sustainability, innovation and the health of our resident.” said Mayor Lee. “I’m excited to take part in the annual Ping Pong Tournament as we continue this creative initiative that transforms public space and brings our communities together.”
Community leaders were successful in organizing the 4th Annual Chinatown Ping Pong Tournament to celebrate this iconic sport and provide opportunities for Sunday Streets visitors to watch champions compete and participate in free play following the matches in Portsmouth Square.
