Officers responded to a report of robbery. Upon arrival the officers met the victim. He was standing at a bus stop when a man approached him. The man demanded the victim give him his personal belongings. The victim surrendered his belongings because he feared for his safety. The suspect then casually walked away with the victim’s belongings.
Suspect: Male, 5’9”, 170 lbs., between the ages of 40-50. LSW: Black hooded sweater, beard, sunglasses, and gray colored pants.

An officer responded to a report of armed robbery at a restaurant. The victims were cleaning up the restaurant when an unknown suspect entered and demanded money while threatening them with a gun. The victims refused to cooperate. The suspect then got into a getaway car and fled. The victims said there were no injuries and no properties taken.
Suspect: African American, male, 5’8”, 180 lbs., between the ages of 20-30, with black hair and brown eyes. LSW: Brown jacket and dark jeans.

Officers responded to a report of burglary. Upon arrival the officers met the victim who said when he returned to his home after leaving it unattended for a few days, he saw the front door was damaged. However he did not notice any property missing.

100 Madrone Ave
An officer responded to a report of fraud. Upon arrival the officer met the victim who said someone claiming to be a member of a government agency called him and asked for money that he owed. The caller threatened arrest if the the victim did not comply. Therefore, the victim sent money, and then believed he was a victim of fraud. The officer took pictures of the prepaid credit cards that were used to transfer funds.

While on patrol, an officer observed a speeding motorist and proceeded to conduct a traffic stop. A record check revealed the driver’s license expired. The officer cited the driver for speeding and for driving with an expired license.

Officers responded to a call of home burglary. Upon arrival, the officers met the victim who showed them damage to the property. The officers concluded entry was gained through a broken window. The house was ransacked and multiple properties were taken.

A man walked into Taraval station to report stolen property. He left his cell phone on a table unattended. When he returned the phone was gone. The victim tried to retrieve video from the building  surveillance. But due to privacy concerns, the building staff was not allowed to release it.

A woman walked into Taraval station to report vandalism to her vehicle. Her neighbor saw a suspect break her car window. The neighbor shouted at the suspect who then fled the scene. The victim reported nothing was stolen from her vehicle.

A man walked into Taraval station to report fraudulent use of his credit card. The victim was checking his bank statement when he saw an unauthorized purchase.

Officers responded to a report of an unresponsive body found outdoors. Medical examiners also responded. They determined the cause of death did not appear suspicious.

An officer responded to a call of theft in progress. The officer arrived and met other officers who had detained the suspect. The suspect took merchandise,  concealed them in a backpack, and exited without paying. The store staff tried to stop the suspect but the suspect threatened them. The Suspect was positively identified by the victims and was arrested.

Officers responded to a call of robbery. The victim was walking with two of his bikes. A suspect rode up on a bike, took one of the victim’s bikes, and left the bike the suspect was riding at the scene. The officers took the suspect’s bike as evidence.
Suspect: Hispanic Male, 5’7, between the ages of 20-30 LSW: White tee shirt with tattoos on his arms.

Officers responded to a call of robbery. The victim was walking down the street with his friends when a group of 8 people walked toward him and argued with him. The group then pushed him to the ground and beat him. The suspects took his phone and fled the scene. The officers captured the suspects and they were positively identified by the victim. The suspects were arrested.

Officers responded to a store security office regarding a detained suspect. The suspect was caught by security taking items and concealing them in his backpack. A record  check revealed the suspect had an arrest warrant. The suspect was arrested for the warrant.

Officers responded to a call of theft. The victim said he left a motorcycle engine unattended in front of his house. When he returned, it was missing.

A victim walked into Taraval Station to report a stolen laptop. The victim said he left his backpack unattended in an alley. When he returned, he looked into his bag and saw a laptop was missing.

Officers responded to a report of shoplifting. Store security staff detained a suspect for taking merchandise and exiting without paying. The suspect was released to the custody of the officers. The suspect was taken to Taraval Station for further investigation.

Officers responded to a call of theft. The victim said according to a shipping company, a package was delivered the previous day. However the victim did not receive anything. He believed his upstair neighbors took the package. The victim also believed the same neighbors took another package in the past.

A victim walked into Taraval Police Station to report fraud. The victim said she was contacted by a suspect who claimed to be a member of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The suspect demanded the victim pay the IRS to clear a debt. The victim complied. However she read about scams by suspects posing as IRS agents and therefore she believed she was another victim.

SATURDAY – SEPTEMBER 20, 2014

Officers responded to a report of a dog bite. Upon arrival they were met by paramedics and the victim. The victim walked up a staircase and came across a leashed dog. The dog jumped and bit him. The victim suffered a minor injury and therefore refused medical attention. The dog’s owner was cited.

Officers responded to a report of a home burglary. Upon arrival the officers met the victim who said an unknown suspect entered his home and ransacked one of the rooms. However no property appeared to have been taken. The officers took pictures of the scene as evidence.

An officer responded to a report of burglary. Upon arrival the officer met a reportee who worked at the location. The reportee said money was stolen from the location. The officer took a picture of the scene as evidence.

Officers responded to a report of shoplifting. Upon arrival the officers met an employee who said a male suspect had stood momentarily in front of a display and shortly thereafter left the store. The employee walked to the display afterwards and saw a missing merchandise. The officer obtained surveillance images of the suspect.
Suspect: African American, male, 5’2”, 150 lbs., between the ages of 40-50, with black hair. LSW: Glasses, black jacket, white shirt, gray pants and red shoes.

Officers responded to a report of vandalism to a vehicle. Upon arrival the officers met the victim who said she believed her roommate damaged her vehicle. The officers took pictures of the vandalized vehicle as evidence.

Officers responded to a report of a deceased person. Upon arrival the officers met the son of the deceased person. The son had called his father-who had medical issues, but there was no answer. Therefore the son went to his father’s home and found him unresponsive. Paramedics and the medical examiner also responded to the scene. The death did not appear suspicious.

Officers responded to a report of a deceased person. Upon arrival the officers met paramedics who were already on scene. They declared the unresponsive person dead. A reportee said she had entered the deceased person’s home and found her unresponsive. The medical examiner responded and took over the investigation.

Officers responded to a traffic collision. Upon arrival the officers met a driver involved in the collision who claimed he did hot have his driver’s license on him. A record check revealed the driver’s license was suspended. The officers cited the male driver for driving with a suspended license.

Officers responded to a report of an audible alarm. Upon arrival they saw a gate and a door pried open. They entered the property to investigate and found no one at the location. The alarm company contacted the property owner who responded to the scene and met the officers.

Officers responded to a report of a home burglary. When the officers arrived they noticed the front door was broken. They met the victim who said some drawers appeared opened.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary. When they arrived the officers noticed damage to the front door. They met the victim who said some drawers were opened and items were missing.

1000 Ocean Ave
Officers responded to a report of theft at a restaurant. A man had walked-in and reached behind the counter. He took an unattended cell phone that belonged to an employee. The suspect immediately exited the restaurant with the phone and fled in a MUNI train. The officers made arrangements to acquire video surveillance footage of the suspect from the restaurant.

Officers responded to a report of burglary. The victim said he left his front door unlocked and went to walk his dog. While he was away an unknown suspect entered the victim’s home, took several items, and fled.

A victim walked into Taraval station to report a stolen cell phone. A package containing supposedly a cell phone had arrived. The mother of the victim signed for the package. When the victim opened the package, there was no phone.

A victim walked into Taraval station to report fraud. He said his bank statement indicated a charge that he did not authorize. He contacted the bank and canceled his card to prevent further unauthorized use.

TUESDAY – SEPTEMBER 23, 2014

Officers responded to a report of burglary at a home construction site. Upon arrival the officers checked the scene and did not find anyone else. However, they noticed an open tool box and locks that appeared to have been cut. The officers attempted but could not get a hold of the construction company. They instead spoke to a witness who said he called police when he saw two suspects in the area making a lot of suspicious noise.

Officers responded to a report of burglary. A reportee noticed a broken entry door to a store. The officers searched the scene and did not find any suspect. The store owner arrived and found some properties missing.

Officers responded to a report of theft. Upon arrival the officers met a store employee who said an unknown suspect entered the store and asked for a specific merchandise. The employee showed the man the item. The man then took it and ran out of the store without paying for it. The suspect got into a getaway car and fled. Officers obtained surveillance video of the incident.
Suspect: African American, male, 6’1”, 170 lbs., between the ages of 30-35, with blond hair and brown eyes. LSW: Tattoo sleeve on right arm, dark shirt and jeans.

A man flagged down officers regarding a theft. The man said he momentarily secured his personal belongings in front of his home and left them unattended. When he returned, the belongings were missing.

A woman walked into Taraval station to report theft. When the woman was shopping, an unknown suspect surreptitiously took her wallet from her purse. The victim had no suspect description.

Officers responded to a report of theft at a store. Upon arrival the officers met a store supervisor who said their surveillance footage showed a man and a woman steal merchandise. The video showed the suspects take various merchandise items and walk out of the store without paying for them. The officers obtained a copy of the footage.
Suspect #1: African American, male, 6’2”, 160 lbs., between the ages of 20-24, with black hair and brown eyes. LSW: Black hoodie, black jeans, black sneakers and a medium build.
Suspect #2: African American, female, 5’2”, 120lbs., between the ages of 20-24, with black hair and brown eyes. LSW: Braided ponytail, dark top, black pants, and a black purse.
