Assault-Aggravated With Force

Officers responded to a report of an assault. A victim said while he was leaving a shopping center, he got into in a verbal altercation with unknown suspects. The altercation soon escalated. The suspects assaulted the victim and then fled on foot.
Suspect 1: Asian Male, age 16 – 18, 5’9, approximately 150 pounds. LSW: Black north face jacket, blue jeans, beanie cap.
Suspect 2: Hispanic Male, age 16 – 18, 5’9, approximately 150 pounds. LSW: Black north face jacket, blue jeans, short black hair.
Suspect 3: Hispanic Male, age 16 – 18, 5’9, approximately 150 pounds. LSW: Black north face jacket.

Burglary-Unlawful Entry-Fraud

Officers responded to a report of a theft. The victim said her property was stolen a few days before. She was contacted by a person who found her property. However she saw that her bank cards were missing. Fraudulent charges were made with the cards without her consent.
Suspect: African American Male, age 40, 6’0, approximately 160 pounds, Black hair, Brown eyes. LSW: Purple jacket with white stripes on the arms, white T-shirt, light blue jeans and black shoes.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary. The victim said he heard a noise in his home and went to investigate. The victim then saw an unknown suspect inside. The suspect fled but was caught by the responding officers. The suspect was arrested.

A victim walked into Taraval Police Station to report a battery. The victim had got into a confrontation with her landlord about signing a new lease. As the argument escalated, the landlord grabbed the victim’s arm and prevented her from leaving. The victim threatened to call the police. The suspect then let her go.

Officers responded to a report of a home burglary. Officers met a contractor who said the lock box that contained the house keys were missing. The garage door was unlocked and the contractor’s tools were also missing.

Officers responded to a report of a home burglary. Officers met a contractor who had left the house locked and secured. Upon return, the home was broken into. Multiple constructions were stolen from the scene.

A victim walked into Taraval Station to report a fraud. The victim used his credit card to pay at a restaurant and accidentally left it on a counter. Later he received a call from his bank that his credit card reached its maximum charge amount. The victim did not authorize anyone to use his card.

Officers responded to a report of a death. The deceased person’s family said  the deceased was sitting on a chair watching TV. The family thought he was asleep. The deceased had diabetes and a history of heart problems. Officers conducted a brief investigation and released the body into the care of his family.

FRIDAY – SEPTEMBER 26, 2014

Battery

1000 34th and Noriega St
A victim walked into Taraval Station to report a battery. The victim was crossing a street when an approaching vehicle did not stop. The victim yelled at the vehicle to stop. A passenger then exited the vehicle and attacked the victim. The victim then ran away. The suspect got back into the vehicle and followed the victim for a short distance.

Officers responded to a report of a home burglary. The victim said when she came home, she noticed the front gate was pried open. However there was no sign of entry into her garage or living quarters. Additionally, no property appeared to have been taken.

Officers responded to a report of a fight. Store security had a shoplifting suspect in custody. The shoplifter tried to escape but security stopped the suspect. A record check revealed the suspect had three warrants for his arrest. Officers arrested the suspect for the warrants.

A victim walked into Taraval Station to report a fraud. The victim received a bill from an unfamiliar cell phone carrier. Someone gained access to his social security number and used it to open a cell phone account.

SATURDAY – SEPTEMBER 27, 2014

Assault with Caustic Chemical
12:20 pm
700 Plymouth Ave
Officers responded to a report of a fight between two housemates. The victim said the other person attacked and sprayed him with pepper spray. The other person said there was a restraining order against the victim who was recently evicted. A further investigation indicated the victim walked-in to retrieve his property when the other person attacked him. The suspect was arrested.

Officers responded to a report of a fight between two people. When the officers arrived one person became aggressive. He was therefore detained. A further investigation revealed the fight was between the aggressive father and his son. The son described his father as an alcoholic. An argument had ensued between them. There were no injuries and the father was released.

A victim walked into Taraval Station to report a theft. The victim-a school teacher, had left her wallet unattended in a classroom. Upon return, she noticed her wallet was missing.

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifting. A store employee noticed a known shoplifter inside. After the shoplifter left, the employee reviewed recorded surveillance of the suspect. The recording showed the suspect conceal a merchandise in a bag and exit the store without paying.

An officer responded to a request to meet SFFD firefighters. The firefighters had responded to a call of an unresponsive person who was determined dead. The person’s family said the deceased had been in declining health recently. There were no obvious signs of trauma or foul play.

Officers responded to a report of a battery on a MUNI bus. A victim had told a suspect to stop smoking on the bus. The suspect assaulted the victim and fled the scene.
Suspect: Asian male between the age 50 – 60, 6’0, Grey hair.

An officer responded to a report of a burglary. A victim claimed her property was missing from her room. She said she may know the identity of the suspect. She also said the suspect had used her credit card without her permission in the past.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary. A victim said an unknown suspect broke into his vehicle and stole his garage door opener. The suspect was then able to used the garage door opener to gain entry and take the victim’s property.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol-Arrested

Officers responded to a report of a vehicle collision. Upon arrival the officers met a driver who was involved in the incident. They believed the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The officers conducted a field sobriety test and the driver failed. The driver consented to a blood test to determine his Blood Alcohol Content (BAC). He was arrested for driving under the influence.

Officers responded to a report of a man attempting to break into a home. One of the officers saw the man jump from a fence and flee. The officers cordoned off the area. They received reports of a trespasser going through other private properties as if he was fleeing. The suspect then tried to walk away unnoticed. However the officers saw and arrested him.

Officers responded to a report of a malicious mischief. A victim said her home window was broken with BB pellets. The officers examined and took pictures of the scene. The victim did not know who could have shot her window with BBs.

Possession of Narcotics-Stolen Property-Burglary Tools-Warrant

An officer responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. As the officer approached the parked vehicle, it drove away. The officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver of the stolen vehicle. Other officers arrived and helped detain the passenger. Officers searched the vehicle and discovered illegal narcotics and burglary tools. A record check also revealed the driver had an arrest warrant. The passenger was released and the driver was arrested.

A man walked into Taraval Station to report a fraud. The man saw an advertisement on Craigslist for an item for sale. The man contacted and met the seller. The man later discovered the purchased item was a fake. The victim managed to take a picture of the Craigslist advertisement for the fake item before it was taken down.

TUESDAY – SEPTEMBER 30, 2014

Robbery

Officers responded to an SFFD fire station regarding a robbery report. Upon arrival the officers met a victim who said he was robbed at gunpoint. The victim was walking to a gym when a suspect pointed a gun at him and said “Give me your money.” The victim complied and the suspect took his bag, phone, and wallet. The suspect instructed the victim to lie face down on the ground while the suspect fled.
Suspect: African American Male, 6’2, between 20-25 years old, 200 lbs LSW: Black hoodie with hood up carrying a black handgun.

Officers responded to a report of a verbal argument. A victim said she was driving when an another vehicle merged into her recklessly and nearly caused a collision. The other driver got out of her car and came up to the victim’s vehicle. The other driver yelled and sprayed water at the victim. The suspect then got back in her car and drove off.
Suspect: Hispanic Female between ages 20 and 30. LSW: Black hoodie and white pants.

An officer responded to a report of a burglary. A victim said he noticed two of his wallets were missing. In the previous night, the victim and his family was in their home when they heard a noise in a bedroom. They went to the bedroom and saw nothing out of the ordinary. He noticed however the screen had been removed from the bedroom window. The victim was notified by his bank that possibly unauthorized purchases were made with his credit card.

An officer responded to a report of a found property that was possibly related to a crime. The victim said she found rubber gloves in her backyard and a few of her belongings moved around. The officer booked the gloves as evidence for a later investigation. The victim also said she noticed a man earlier in the day standing in front of her house for 30 minutes.
Suspect: White Male 5’11 LSW: dark had, dark jacket, dark pants with a medium build.

100 Sagamore St.
Officers responded to a report of an embezzlement. A victim conducted an audit by checking invoices and noticed there was cash missing. The victim asked a suspect if he knew where the money was. The suspect replied they were stored in a cabinet. The victim believed the suspect took the cash instead. The victim gave the invoices to the officers to be booked as evidence.

A victim walked into Taraval Station to report a theft. The victim was riding in a MUNI train when a suspect walked by her. He then grabbed her phone out of her hands and exited the train in one short swoop. The victim tried to track the phone but the phone was turned off.
Suspect: Male 5’4, 170 lbs between the ages of 14 and 16. LSW: Black backpack, camouflage pants.

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. The victim said four suspects entered the store. One suspect distracted the victim while the other three accomplices walked down an aisle and filled a bag full of merchandise.
Suspect 1: Black Female, 5’5, 120 lbs between ages 20 and 25 LSW: yellow or gold sweater.
Suspect 2: Black Female, between ages 20 and 25. LSW: Carrying large bag.
