On Thursday, December 4, 2014, Officer McLaughlin and Officer Ha of Taraval Station joined Mr. Bill Barnickel of the Outer Sunset Merchants and Professionals Association (OSMPA) in collecting toys for the annual Holiday Toy Drive.
Generous merchants such as Walgreens, Irving Housewares and Restaurant Supplies, and Modern Design Salon donated toys in an effort to ensure every child gets something special for the Holidays. The Walgreens store on Irving Street was notably the biggest donor of new unopened gifts.
Mr. Benny Yee, owner of a property management and investment company, was also noteworthy for his generous monetary gift that will be used to buy more toys.
Members of the Taraval Police Station want to remind our community that embracing the Holiday spirit is also about helping others. Captain Lum thanks each and every one of you in advance for volunteering or donating in this time of the year.
