On Thursday, December 18, 2014, merchants of West Portal Avenue generously gave a large number of new toys they collected during a two-week toy drive to their neighborhood footbeat officer–Officer Imhoff.
Officer Imhoff was able to fill every available space in his patrol car–from the passenger seats to the trunk, with the donated new toys! He expressed deep appreciation for the merchants who were able to collect so many toys in a span of two weeks!
As part of the Holiday spirit of gift-giving, the toys will be handed out to disadvantaged children of San Francisco. Members of Taraval Police Station are deeply humbled that our merchants, who spent their precious time and energy collecting new toys, have entrusted us with fulfilling such an important holiday tradition.
