On Tuesday, December 23, 2014, members of the SFPD Asian Pacific Islander (API) Forum helped deliver toys to children at the Asian Pacific American Community (APAC) Center in the Visitacion Valley. Santa Claus, courtesy of API member Ron Lee, was there to greet each child. New toys wrapped in red, blue, and green found themselves in the hands of deserving children!
Taraval Station’s Captain Lum-who is the chair of the API Forum, joined Captain McFadden of Ingleside Station and Commander Tom of Golden Gate Division to lend a hand. Kids lined up to meet Santa, have their photos taken with him, and walked-away with a wrapped new toy in each of their hands! They were all smiles and their parents deeply appreciated the selfless efforts of our API and APAC volunteers!
Once again our API volunteers stepped-up to make a difference in our Community! Thank you for reminding us that the spirit of helping others is alive and well in our beloved City!
