An officer responded to a report of a vehicle collision. A record check of one of the involved drivers revealed his license was suspended. The driver was arrested for the above violations and released with a court summons.

2100 12th Ave
A woman walked into Taraval Station to report a fraud. She received credit cards in the mail that she did not apply for. She also received rejection letters from credit card carriers. The woman did not apply for any of these credit cards. An unknown suspect used her identity to apply for credit cards.

Stolen Vehicle-Possession of Burglary Tool-Suspended Driver’s License-Arrested

19th Ave & Chester Ave
Officers stopped a vehicle when their electronic license plate reader indicated the vehicle was reported stolen. Officers discovered the driver & a passenger possessed tools commonly used to steal vehicles. A record check also revealed the driver’s license was suspended. The driver was arrested for driving a stolen vehicle, possession of burglary tools, and driving with a suspended license. The passenger was arrested for having burglary tools & then released with a court summons.

A man reported a fraud. He received his credit card bill that contained unauthorized charges. An unknown suspect used his credit card information to make unauthorized purchases.

An officer was flagged down by a store employee who stopped a shoplifter. A record check revealed the shoplifter had warrants for her arrest. The employee refused to place the shoplifter under citizen’s arrest. However the shoplifter was arrested for the warrants.

Fraud

1400 La Playa St
An officer responded to a report of a fraud. A victim was told by his income tax preparer that an unknown suspect used his social security number to file a return. As a result a refund was sent to the suspect.

Harassing Phone Calls

8300 Oceanview Ter
A woman walked into Taraval Station to report receiving harassing messages. She had received numerous texts from someone-Suspect #1, whom she won a civil judgment against. Suspect #2-the spouse of Suspect #1, also texted annoying messages to the woman.
Suspect #1 – White male :: 49 years :: 5’11” tall :: 185 lbs :: brown balding hair :: brown eyes

Officers stopped a vehicle for expired registration. A record check revealed the driver’s license was suspended. The driver was arrested for the above violations and then released with a court summons.
