Possession of Controlled Substance & Paraphernalia-Arrested

Sloat Blvd & 36th Ave
An officer stopped a vehicle for having an expired registration tab & a cracked windshield. A records check revealed both the driver & a passenger were on probation. The officer found small amounts of controlled substances & drug paraphernalia. The driver was arrested for the above violations, given a court summons, & then released.

3000 23rd Ave
A man walked into Taraval station to report a fraud. He received a form the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that asked for ‘additional’ information. The man had not filed a tax return. Therefore he believed an unknown suspect used his identity without his permission to file a tax return.

Theft-Arrested

3200 20th Ave
Officers responded to a report of a theft. Store employees placed a shoplifter under citizen’s arrest for shoplifting. The suspect had ran out of the store with unpaid merchandise. The suspect was a given a court summons & then released.

A woman walked into Taraval station to report a theft. The woman had tied her dog to a post outside a restaurant before she entered it. She then saw a man pet her dog. When she returned to her dog, the dog’s tags were missing. She believed the man was the suspect.

A man walked into Taraval station to report a fraud. He & an accountant were preparing his income tax return when they discovered an unknown suspect had used his identity to file a return.

Robbery

1200 La Playa St
Officers were flagged down by a man who reported he was robbed by three suspects. The victim was walking on a sidewalk when a suspect approached & hit him. The victim ran & was chased by three suspects. The suspects caught up to the victim and hit him numerous times before taking his belongings. The suspects then fled.

Suspect #2 – Hispanic male :: 35-40 years :: 5’9” tall :: 250 lbs :: black hair :: LSW grey hoodie up over head.
