Robbery – Public Place with Force

Mt. Vernon Avenue

Officers responded to the scene regarding a robbery with force in a public place. Upon arriving at the scene the officers were met by a woman who stated that while walking to the BART station she was attacked by two unknown male suspects. The first suspect jumped out in front of the woman and pushed her to floor and took her cell phone. The suspect then tried to take the backpack from her but struggled until the second suspect helped get the backpack off the woman. The suspects entered a black 4 door sedan driven by a third suspect and fled the scene.
Suspect 1: African American Male, 6’0”, between the ages of 25 – 30 years old, 200 lbs, last seen wearing: dark colored pants, dark colored sweatshirt, and a black beanie.
Suspect 2: African American Male, 6’0”, between the ages of 25 – 30 years old, 190 lbs, last seen wearing: dark colored pants, dark colored sweatshirt, and a black beanie
Suspect 3: African American Male, between the ages of 25 – 30 years old, last seen wearing: possibly dark colored clothing
Suspect Vehicle: Dark colored early 90’s model, 4 door sedan

Robbery with Force

600 Mount Vernon Avenue

Officers working in full uniform and in a marked police vehicle were dispatched to the scene regarding a robbery with force. Upon arriving at the scene the officers were met by a woman who stated that while she was walking on the street and unknown suspect approached her from behind and grabbed her purse. As the suspect was grabbing her purse, the suspect punched the woman on the side of her face. A second suspect was standing behind the woman as the robbery was taking place. The two suspects ran east bound and got into a vehicle driven by a third suspect.

Burglary – Possession of Burglary Tools

Officers responded to a call of a shop lifting incident. Upon arriving at the scene officers were met by a Loss Prevention Agent. The agent stated that while he was watching the sales floor through CCTV he observed a man walk into the store carrying a shopping bag. The agent observed the man put various items into the bag and walk past several open and operating cash registers without paying for the items. The agent stopped the man 5 feet outside of the store and identified himself as an agent. The agent signed a citizen’s arrest form when the police arrived. The man was arrested and booked at Taraval Station.

Burglary – Unlawful Entry

An officer was dispatched to the scene regarding a burglary. Upon arriving at the scene the officer was met by a man who stated that someone stole items from his home. The man did not give anyone permission to enter the premise and take the items.

Driving with a Suspended License

Officers responded to the scene regarding an injury traffic collision that involved a suspended license. Upon arriving at the scene the officers located the man involved in the accident in the rear of an ambulance. The officers asked the man if he had a valid driver’s license, and a computer query showed that his driver’s license was suspended/revoked. The man was issued a citation for driving with a suspended/revoked license.

A man came to Taraval Station to report that someone threw something hard out of a moving MUNI bus and struck his vehicle front window. The man was traveling northbound on Sunset Boulevard when something hit his front window on his vehicle. The man saw an unknown suspect make a throwing motion out of the back window on the bus.

A man came to Taraval Station to report a battery and threats incident that happened on a MUNI LRV. The man was sitting on the MUNI LRV and listening to music on his cell phone without any headphones. An unknown suspect sitting a few rows away from the man started to shout profanities at the man and told the man to stand up. As the man stood up the suspect hit the man in the chest. A citizen stood in and told the suspect to leave the man alone. As the suspect was got off the LRV he threatened the man.

Burglary – Hot Prowl – Forcible Entry

Officers were dispatched to the scene to investigate a burglary. Upon arriving at the scene the officers were met by a man who stated that an unknown suspect was able to gain entry into the home by unlocking the front door security gate. The man’s roommate was home but in his room with the door locked. The suspect tried to open the door but realized that it was locked and that someone was home, so the suspect fled.

Aggravated Assault with Force – Public Place

An officer responded to a call to Northern Police station in regards to a battery and robbery that took place. Upon arrival the officer was told that the incident took place on Noriega Street at a bar. Four men were at a bar enjoying their night. When it was time to close the bartender asked all the patrons to please leave the bar. One of the men was the last to leave and upon leaving he sees his three friends being punched and attacked by eight unknown suspects. The man tried to help his friends but was knocked unconscious and when he awoke he saw all eight suspects fleeing in two vehicles.

Petty Theft with Prior Conviction – Probation Violation – Arrest

Officers were dispatched to a shopping mall regarding a shoplifter that had been detained by security. Upon arriving the officers were met by a security officer who stated that she was patrolling the mall when she was flagged down by one of the stores managers. She was told that a customer witnessed a man steal items from the store. The security officer broadcasted a description of the man to the other security guards. The man was spotted at another establishment by another security guard who witnessed the man conceal some items on his side and walk away. The security guard detained the man for not paying for the items he concealed on his side and found the items that he stole from the other store. The police were called and they performed a criminal database check and found that the man had prior theft convictions and was on probation for theft related charges. The man was arrested and booked at Taraval Station.

A woman came to Taraval Station to report a theft. The woman boarded an inbound Muni bus that was crowded. The woman had her cellular phone in her jacket pocket and when she exited the bus she discovered that an unknown suspect had stolen the phone out of her pocket.

Arson of Vehicle – Warrant Arrest – Arrest

Officers were dispatched to the scene regarding a vehicle fire. Prior to arriving at the scene dispatch advised that a witness observed the suspect exit the vehicle that was on fire. Upon arriving to the scene the officers observed SFFD in the process of putting out the fire. Another officer that was responding to the scene located an individual that matched the suspect’s description. The man was detained for the purpose of a cold show. The officers asked the witness if that was the man who walked out of the vehicle that was on fire and it was confirmed that the man detained was the man who exited the vehicle. The man was placed under arrest and transported to Taraval Station. A computer query revealed that the man has a misdemeanor warrant out in another city. The man was charged and also booked for the warrant.

Malicious Mischief – Vandalism to Vehicle – Arrest

Officers responded to the scene regarding a vandalism report. Upon arriving the officers were met by a woman who stated that upon arriving home she observed a vehicle partially blocking her driveway. The woman contacted DPT to have the vehicle blocking her driveway cited and towed. As the tow truck was hooking the vehicle up a group of men and a female approached the tow truck driver. As the man who owned the vehicle was talking to the tow truck driver, the woman observed another male lean against her vehicle. The woman went outside to inspect her vehicle after the group left and she observed several deep scratches along the front bumper of her vehicle that were not there previously. The officers went to the home the group of people went back to and conducted a knock and talk. The female answered the door and the officers observed a man walking inside the home who matched the description of the man who was leaning against the woman’s vehicle. The officers detained the man with no further incident. The woman agreed to a cold show and identified the man as the one who was leaning against her vehicle. The man was arrested and booked.

Officers responded to the scene regarding a robbery with force. Upon arriving at the scene the officers were met by a woman who stated that she was walking home from the bus stop. When she turned the corner on the street she felt a tug on her purse. As she turned around she observed an unknown suspect tugging at her purse. After a brief struggle with the suspect, the woman left go of her purse and the suspect fled north.

An officer responded to the scene regarding a burglary. Upon arriving the officer was met by a man who stated that someone stole his property. The man last saw his property in his garage before going to sleep. When the man awoke in the morning he went to his garage to do laundry and immediately noticed that an unknown suspect had taken his property. The man did not give anyone permission to take his property and does not know who took them.

Officers responded to a call regarding a male that was caught shoplifting by a security officer. Upon their arrival they were met by a security officer. The security officer stated that while he was making his rounds around the store he observed the man who was previously detained for shoplifting in the store. The security guard observed the man walk down different aisles of the store and grab products off the shelf. The man walked past all open registers making no attempt to pay for the items. The security guard approached man outside the store and identified himself as a security officer and escorted the man back into the store. The police were called and the security guard signed a citizen’s arrest form. The man was admonished and served with a Trespass Acknowledgement form from a previous shoplifting incident at that location. The man was cited and released at the scene.

Officers responded to the scene regarding vandalism. Upon arriving at the scene the officers were met by a man who stated that he was sitting in his room and heard something hitting the windows in his home. The man went into his living room which faces the street and noticed 3 holes in his window with BBs stuck inside the glass. He went into another room and noticed the window had 5 BBs stuck inside the glass.

Robbery with Force – Street

Officers responded to the scene regarding a robbery with force. Upon arriving at the scene the officers were met by a man who stated that as he was leaving the Bart station he observed an unknown vehicle double parked on the street. Two unknown male suspects ran up on the man from behind and attempted to grab his brief case. As the man tried to keep the brief case away from the suspects he was punched in the face several times. The suspects gained possession of the brief case and got into the vehicle that was double parked on the street and fled.

A woman came to Taraval Station to file a fraud report. She stated that she received a call from an unknown suspect informing her that her AT&T bill was due immediately and to pay for it with a credit card. The woman provided the unknown suspect with a credit card number and social security number. When the woman received her credit card statement she noticed there were two fraudulent charges.
