Possession of Stolen Property – Possession of Burglary Tools – Methamphetamine Offensive – Arrest

Officers observed a vehicle speeding and making unsafe lane changes. When the officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the suspect refused to pull over. After a few more blocks the suspect finally stopped and told the officers that he had “meth” in his pockets.  A bent shaved key, commonly used in stealing cars, was also found in the suspects pocket. Officers placed the suspect in handcuffs and a computer check revealed that the suspect did not have a valid driver’s license. It was also later determined that the vehicle the suspect was driving was an unreported stolen vehicle. The suspect was arrested for the numerous vehicle violation, stolen vehicle, drug possession, and possession of stolen property and burglary tools.

Officers responded to a report of a known drunk person in the area acting aggressively. Officers located the suspect who was indeed and obviously intoxicated. While being was transported to jail, the suspect informed the officers that he better get his “weed and pipe” back when he was released from jail. The officers searched the suspect and located the suspected marijuana and glass pipe. The suspect was arrested.

Officers responded to the area regarding a possible burglary. The officers arrived and located the suspects that matched the descriptions given to them. The suspect was located inside the gate that lead to the apartments and a cursory search revealed that one of the suspects had a folding knife. The suspect was cited and released for loitering with a weapon.

No right turn on red – No Licenses Issued – Cited

Officer observed a vehicle making a turn in violation of the “no turn on red” sign. A computer check on the driver revealed that no driver’s license had been issued to him. The driver was cited and released.

300 Bright St
The victim reported that she received a phone call from a suspect pretending to be from the IRS. The suspect threatened to arrest the victim if she did not pay the “back taxes” they accused of her owing. Out of fear, the victim bought gift cards and provided the suspect with the gift card numbers and security information in payment for the “back taxes”.

The victim reported that he was approached by the suspect at Stonestown Galleria Mall. The suspect convinced the victim to cash a check for him and immediately transfer the funds to the suspect before the check had a chance to be cleared.  The victim agreed but the check cashed was fraudulent; the bank was not able to distribute the money to the victim.
