Shoplifting – Cited

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. A loss prevention agent observed a suspect take numerous BIC lighters and alcohol bottles. The agent followed the suspect out of the store and yelled at him to stop. The suspect complied and police arrived. The suspect was cited for shoplifting.

Battery – Cited

300 West Portal Ave
Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim told the officers that the suspect grabbed the victim by the throat and threatened to punch him. The suspect was located and cited for the misdemeanor.

Burglary
9:19 pm
1200 42nd Ave
Officers responded to a report of a burglary. The victim told the officers that he had left a bag filled with items on the sofa. A few hours later, the victim said that the doorbell rang and he answered. The suspect told the victim that he had left the keys inside the lock to the front door. After the suspect left, he noticed the bag gone. The victim believed the suspect made entry prior and took the items and then rang the door bell.

Elder Abuse – Arrested

100 Brighton St
Officers responded to a report of the victim’s son locking her inside her home. The officers met with the victim and was told the officers that her son had slammed the door on her left shoulder and arm. However, there was no merit to statement of the victim being locked inside her home.  The victim stated that she was afraid of her son. The son was later located and arrested.

Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute. The victim said that she had an argument with the suspect but the victim wanted to avoid conflict so she tried to leave with her friend. The suspect used force, took the victim cell phone and left instead. The suspect was later located and a computer check revealed an active arrest warrant. The suspect was arrest for robbery and warrants.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery with a firearm. Five victims reported that they were robbed by a known suspect and his friends. The known suspect pulled a gun and demanded the victims’ property.
