Driving Under the Influence – Traffic Collision – Traffic Violation – Cited

1300 43rd Ave
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle collision. Upon arrival, the officers observed an overturned vehicle and parked vehicles which were damaged. While speaking to the driver, who was being treated by medics, the reporting officer noted that the driver had bloodshot and watery eyes with a distinct odor of alcohol on her breath. After questioning, the driver admitted to having had a couple of drinks an hour prior to incident and driving.  After further investigation, it was determined that the driver was indeed intoxicated while driving.   The driver was transported to SFGH for medical treatment and a blood draw. Based on the driver’s injuries and investigation, she was cited for DUI and the vehicle violation.

An officer responded to a report of a known homeless trespasser, with a history of brandishing knives, who was refusing to leave a store. On arrival, the officer observed the suspect sitting on a chair with blankets covering his hands. The manager of the store tried to ask the suspect leave earlier but failed.  The reporting officer also requested the suspect to leave the store but was refused.  The officer ordered the suspect to remove his blankets to make sure there were no concealed weapons but the suspect again refused. The officer tried to forcefully remove the blankets but the suspect push the officer away. After a brief struggle, the officer was able to put flex cuffs on the suspect. The suspect was then transported to Taraval Station where a computer check on the suspect was conducted. The suspect was later cited for trespassing and resisting arrest.

Officers responded to a report of a hit and run incident. A San Francisco State officer located a vehicle that matched the description given. The reporting officer interviewed the driver who stated that he only had 4 or 5 beers. The driver appeared unsteady on his feet with blood shot and watery eyes and slurred speech. The officer conducted a sobriety test, which the driver failed. The driver was arrested.

Robbery – Battery – Arrested

2300 Noriega St
An officer responded to a report of a shoplifter. The victim, a security guard, saw the suspect bring a basket filled with groceries into the store’s bathroom. Following the suspect, the victim observed the suspect placing numerous grocery items into his backpack. The victim demanded the suspect to return the items and there was a struggle over the groceries and the backpack. During the struggle, the suspect bit the victim’s hands and threatened to harm the victim if he didn’t let go. The suspect finally pushed past the victim and exited the store but responding officers were able to locate the suspect and retrieved the stolen items. The suspect was arrested.
