An officer responded to a report of shoplifting. The witness, a loss prevention agent for store, told the officer that the suspect had taken merchandise, exited the store and just got on to a MUNI bus. The witness pointed to the bus and the officer was able to stop the bus. The witness pointed out the suspect, who was still holding on to the merchandise. The witness told the officer that he had attempted to detain the suspect, but the suspect fought back and attempted to hit him. The officer searched the suspect and located items use to defeat the store security system. The suspect was arrested.

Officers responded to a report of a trespasser at the mall. Witness stated that the suspect had been banned from the mall because of an earlier incident. Since the suspect had returned despite the ban, the witness wanted the suspect arrested. The suspect was cited.
