On many occasions we miss things that are close to us. Across the street from the Taraval Police Station is the lovely McCoppin Square. Many people know that the Parkside Branch library is also located there. This neighborhood gem also hosts a 7-acre green space which offers a gated playground, walking paths, tennis courts and a baseball field. Tucked into this space also, is the Rainbow Montessori pre-school (http://www.rainbowmontessorisanfrancisco.com)
On 10/06/15, Sgt Gordon and Sgt Campion-Healy went across the street to Rainbow Montessori Pre- School to speak to the students. They were welcomed by the teachers, Ms. Lorena and Ms. Claudia. The sergeants introduced themselves and spoke to the preschoolers about safety. The visit finished off with the preschoolers getting a chance to see SFPD’s patrol cars.
