Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. A Loss Prevention agent said that he observed a male wearing sunglasses and carrying an empty Macy’s bag while looking at purses. Loss Prevention observed the suspect select a purse and put it into the empty shopping bag. The suspect exited the store without paying for the purse and was detained by Loss Prevention. The suspect was cited for shoplifting
Assault

Officers responded to a report of an assault. The victim, a taxi driver, told officers that he had picked up two drunk people and was driving them to their requested destination. Upon arrival, the people exited without paying for their taxi service. The victim followed the suspect and the suspect began punching the victim in the face. The other person tossed money at the victim and both of them fled into the apartment.
Robbery – Pepper Spray

Officers responded to a report of a robbery. The victim said that two suspects entered the apartment building’s lobby and were acting strange. Suddenly, one of the suspects grabbed some mail packages and ran out of the building. The victim chased after the suspect and the suspect dropped the stolen packages. The second suspect came up to the victim and peppered spray the victim before both suspects fled the scene.
