Officers responded to a report of a robbery. Loss Prevention Agent told the officers that he observed the suspect select numerous items and attempt to walk out of the store without paying for them. Loss Prevention Agent stated that he confronted the suspect and attempted to detain the suspect but the suspect became verbally aggressive and threatened to punch the Loss Prevention Agent. Therefor, Lost Prevention Agent attempted to grab the stolen items back but the suspect pulled away violently and fled the scene. Responding officers arrived and located the suspect. A search of the suspect revealed possession of multiple tools used to defeat security tags and to break into vehicles. A computer check on the suspect also revealed an active warrant. The suspect was arrested.
