The suspect and victim, who were family members, arrived at Taraval Police Station concerned about check fraud. The victim stated that he is the trustee for the living trust of his step-mother. While checking statements, he noticed several unfamiliar charges being posted on the account which were made out to the suspect. The victim confronted the suspect and he admitted to the fraud as he thought the account was for him. The victim wanted to press charges and the suspect said that he wanted to turn himself in. The suspect was arrested.

Officers responded to a report of several suspects, in a vehicle, acting suspiciously around cars in the area. Officers located the vehicle matching the description given and conducted surveillance on the vehicle. Soon after, the suspect’s vehicle started driving off and the officers observed that the vehicle was missing a front license plate. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check revealed that one of the suspects had a warrant for his arrest. Officers also located methamphetamine in the vehicle. The suspect was arrested for the warrant and for possession of methamphetamine.
