Driving While Intoxicated – Vehicle Accident – Arrested

Lincoln Way & 10th Ave
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle accident. While the officers were interviewing the drivers, they located an open bottle of wine and a clear cup inside one of the vehicles.  The driver of that vehicle exhibited obvious signs of intoxication while speaking to the officers and also failed the field sobriety test.  After further tests and investigation, the driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle with expired registration. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed his license had expired. The driver was also unable to show proof of insurance. The driver was cited.

Vehicle Violation – Suspended Driver’s License – Cited

19th Ave & Lincoln Way
Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle making a left turn where left turns were not allowed. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed his license had been suspended. The driver was also unable to show proof of insurance. The driver was cited.

Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle failing to make a complete stop at a posted stop sign. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed his license had been suspended. The driver was cited.

Officers responded to a report that the suspect, who previously had made verbal threats, was back at the location. An officer responded and located the vehicle with the suspect inside. The suspect confirmed making the comments, but he did not believe they were threatening. The suspect was arrested.

Assault – Arrested

Officers responded to a domestic violence incident. The victim stated that the suspect was angry and accused him of cheating before grabbing a knife and stabbing him in his arms.  The suspect stated the officers that the victim was trying to make advances but the suspect said “no”. The suspect also said that victim slapped her which caused her to grabbed the knife to protect herself against further harm. After further investigation, the officers arrested the suspect as the primary aggressor.

Officers responded to a domestic violence incident. The victim stated that the suspect came home drunk yesterday and started accusing the victim of cheating before kicking the victim and pushing her off the bed.  Today, the suspect again accused her of cheating and punched her on her shoulder so hard that she fell backwards. The suspect did want to speak to the officers. The suspect was arrested.
