Breaking Windows – Battery on a Police – Resisting Arrest – Arrested

Officers responded to a report a suspect causing damage to a glass door on a MUNI bus. Responding officers located the suspect matching the description given by the witness and the bus driver. The witness told the officers that the suspect got angry because “he was not going around the same route again and that everyone needed to leave the bus.” The suspect got angry and attempted to punch the window but wasn’t able to break it. The suspect then kicked the window to the doors and broke them. While speaking to the officers and being told that he was under arrest, the suspect attempted to flee the scene. However, the officers were successful in detaining the suspect and placed him in handcuffs. The suspect continued to struggle and at one point, the suspect spat on one of the officers. The suspect was arrested.

Robbery – Resisting Arrest – Vandalism – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter who had just stolen items and was fleeing the scene. Responding officers located the suspect matching the description given by the witness, a store employee. The suspect saw the officers and attempted to evade them but the officers were able to capture him. The witness said that he saw the suspect try to steal a bottle of wine and confronted the suspect in an attempt to get retrieve it. During the struggle, the bottle fell on the ground and shattered. The suspect selected another bottle and left the store. The witness followed the suspect and the suspect threatened to hurt him if he didn’t stop following him. The witness stopped because he was afraid of getting hurt. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.

Officers responded to a report of a domestic incident. The victim said that when he got home from picking up their daughter, the suspect began to yell at them for not arriving home earlier. The suspect then grabbed the victim’s wrist, punched and slapped him. Officers investigated the incident and spoke to the witness. The suspect was later arrested.

Burglary – Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of shoplifters. Loss Prevention stated that they saw two suspects place several items into a basket. The suspects then placed a coat over the basket and walked out of the store without paying. Loss Prevention detained the suspects without further incident. After further investigation, the adult suspect was arrested, and the juvenile suspect was transferred the juvenile community assessment center and cited.

Shoplifting – Narcotics Paraphernalia – Cited

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. Loss Prevention told the officers that he saw the suspect select two purses. The suspect then went to the bathroom and a female Loss Prevention agent followed. Loss Prevention agent smelled smoke and heard banging coming from inside a bathroom stall and the toilet being flushed. The suspect came out with the security sensors off the purses. The suspect then attempted to leave the store without paying. Loss Prevention was able to detain the suspect until officers arrived on scene. When they searched the suspect, they found narcotic paraphernalia and the stolen merchandise. The suspect was later cited.
