Robbery – Burglary Tools – Possession of Narcotics and Paraphernalia – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifting in progress. Dispatch told the officers that Loss Prevention was fighting the suspect.

Loss Prevention agent told the officers that he observed the suspect in the store with a duffle bag. The suspect selected three jackets before walking away from the display. The suspect then discarded one of the jackets and got on an escalator which caused the Loss Prevention to lose sight of the suspect.   When Loss Prevention saw the suspect again, the suspect was only holding onto one of the jackets before putting it down and walking out of the store. Loss Prevention attempted to detain the suspect, but the suspect pushed him away and they got into a struggle.  Loss Prevention managed to get the suspect’s duffle bag away from the suspect before the responding officers arrived and detained the suspect.  During the arrest search of the suspect, officers  located heroin and methamphetamine in his pocket. The officer received permission from the suspect and searched his bag and found stolen items along with pliers and a glass pipe. The suspect was arrested

Officers were on patrol when they observed a suspect sitting on a tarp on the sidewalk. Officers approached the suspect and advised him against blocking the sidewalk. Officers obtained the suspect name and a computer check revealed that the suspect had a warrant from Santa Clara County for failing a drug test. The suspect was arrested.

Officers were on patrol when they observed a Nissan Altima with a broken brake light. Officers conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver. A computer check revealed that the suspect had a warrant from Humboldt County. The driver was arrested.

Officers responded to a report of a trespasser. The victim told the officers that the suspect had been lying in his doorway for the past three days. The victim wanted the suspect arrested for trespassing. Officers attempted to obtain the suspect’s name, but the suspect didn’t bother to reply. At Taraval Station, the officers were able to determine the suspect’s identity and a  computer check on the suspect revealed that she had 16 warrants for her arrest. The suspect was arrested.

Officers and Sergeants obtained a search warrant on a suspect that was involved in a burglary. Officers and Sergeants executed the search warrant and located numerous items belonging to the victim.  The suspect in this incident had already been arrest on a separate incident.  New charges will be added.
