Possession of Stolen Property – Arrested

Officers conducted a follow up investigation and executed a search warrant regarding an incident that occurred a few days prior. During the search, the officers located additional property belonging to victims who had their vehicle broken it. Additional charges will be added to the suspect who is already in custody.

Probation Violation – Possession of Cocaine and Marijuana for Sale – Arrested

Broad St & Orizaba St
Officers detained a suspect during an investigation of a shooting. A computer check on the suspect revealed he was on probation with a search condition. The officers searched the suspect’s house and located a backpack filled with marijuana, cocaine, and bullets. Officers also located a scale and large amount of money, which are consistent in the use of drug sales. However, the suspect denied these items as belonging to him. The suspect was arrested.

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. The witness told the officers that he observed a suspect, with a history of shoplifting, walk into the store. The witness told the suspect to leave, but the suspect refused. Officers arrived on scene and the witness told the officers that he wanted to press charges. The suspect was cited.

Assault

600 Capitol Ave
Officers responded to an assault on a referee, the victim. The witness said that the suspect had an argument with the victim prior to the game. During the game, the victim called a Yellow Card on the suspect. The suspect was upset and started started another argument with the victim. In response, the victim called a yellow card on the suspect a second time and also a red card. The suspect got angry, punched the victim from behind and fled the scene.

Discharging a Firearm

Officers responded to a report of gunshots. The witness said that he heard three shots and then saw a green vehicle speeding away. Officers searched the area for victims and evidence but could not locate any. A few minutes later, officers located the green vehicle that was  witnessed speeding away and observed that it had several bullet holes and a flat tire. The victim came forward to state that someone shot at him but refused to cooperate further with the investigation. It was later discovered that the victim was a felon who had previously been arrested for guns and drug sales.

Graffiti – Possession of Graffiti Tools – Arrested

Winston Dr & 19th Ave
Officers responded to a report of two people who had vandalized a utility box with graffiti. Arriving officers located the two suspects matching the description given. The male suspect was observed with blue paint on his hands and in possession of numerous paint markers and a can of spray paint. One of the paint markers exactly matched the color of the graffiti found on the utility box. Officers searched and located several other locations within the city that also had the suspect’s moniker on vandalized utility box. The female suspect said that she was with the male suspect and didn’t have anything else to do with the incident. After further investigation, the female suspect was released and the male suspect was arrested.
