Robbery – Probation Violation – Carrying Concealed Weapon – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of a possible, knife related,  robbery. The victim told the officers that he saw the suspect on his front porch before walking off to another neighbor’s porch. Once there, the suspect stole two Amazon packages that were left there. The victim yelled at the suspect and the suspect responded by pulling back his shirt to reveal a large, sheathed, knife. The victim, fearing for his safety, went inside the house. Sergeant and lieutenant responding to the report were nearby and located the suspect matching the description. The suspect told the officers that he had a knife on him for protection because he lived on the streets. The suspect also expressed guilt because one of the packages was a children’s puzzle. Officers transported the suspect back to Taraval Station and located other items that belonged to other victims. The suspect was arrested.

False Vehicle Registration – No License Issued – Cited

Officers were on patrol when they conducted a computer check on a vehicle. The check which resulted in a report that the vehicle had an expired registration. However, the registration sticker affixed on the license plate was current for this year. The officers conducted a traffic stop and the was unable to produce a valid license, registration, or car insurance. Officers were able to identify the driver and cited him for numerous violations.

1100 Irving St
Sergeant was on patrol when he observed a bicyclist failing to slow down and completely run a stop sign. The sergeant conducted a traffic stop on the bicyclist. Upon receiving the report, the sergeant recognized the bicyclist as felon who was convicted of burglaries and drug related offense. The bicyclist was also riding on a very expensive bicycle which  was not reported stolen. The bicyclist was cited.
