Shoplifting – Cited

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. Loss Prevention told the officers that he observed the suspect filling a basket with various items of food and exit without paying for any of the items. Loss Prevention detained the suspect and the responding officers cited the suspect.

3200 20th Ave
Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. Loss Prevention told the officers that he observed a suspect, with a known history of shoplifting in the store, select various articles of clothing and exit the store without paying. The suspect was detained and a search of the suspect revealed the wire cutters which were used to cut off the security tags. The suspect was cited.

Battery

100 Lenox Way
Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim, a security guard, told the officers that he saw the suspect using the computer in the library. However, the suspect was previously banned from the library because he was caused disruptions.  The victim escorted the suspect out of the library which caused the suspect to become angry and he started punching the victim while screaming that he “worked for the FBI”  before fleeing scene.  Responding officers arrived and located the suspect before detaining him for a metal evaluation.

Robbery

Holloway Ave & Victoria St
Officers responded to a report of a robbery. The victim told the officers that two suspect walked behind her and attempted to grab her purse. The victim then heard a zapping sound, which she recognized as a stun gun before she felt it being used on her back. Still, the suspects failed to take the victim’s purse and they fled the scene.

2300 Noriega St
An officer responded to a report of a battery. The victim, an employee, told the responding officer that the suspect walked out of the store without paying for an item. The victim confronted the suspect and the suspect began making threats to come back and hurt the victim if he didn’t move aside. Then, suspect grabbed the victim and threw him against the door, causing damages. Before fleeing, the suspect also  grabbed a can and attempted to use it to hit the victim as well as knocking over multiple items. The responding officer searched for the suspect and located him on a MUNI bus. The suspect was subsequently cited.

Assault – Vandalism – Arrested

Numerous officers responded to a report of shots being fired. Officers arrived on scene and determined that the sound was due to a suspect throwing glass bottles and other items out of the window from the 9th floor. As the responding officers made their way to the suspect, one of the thrown items hit a sergeant. The suspect refused to answer the door when the responding officers attempted to gain entry.  Eventually, the suspect was persuaded to open the door and the officers determined that the suspect appeared to be in an altered mental state and needed to be transported to the hospital. After being cleared by the medical staff, the suspect was arrested.
