Trespassing – Vandalism – Cited

400 Wawona St
Officers responded to a report of a trespasser at a care home, currently being detained by Security. Responding officers were told that the minister saw the suspect on the premise and notified security.  Security detained the suspect and   determined that the suspect had broken a window to gain entry into the care home. After further investigation, the suspect was cited.

Shoplifting – Warrant Arrest – Arrested & Cited

Officers responded to a report of a detained shoplifter. Loss Prevention stated that they saw two suspects enter the store and select multiple items before entering the same fitting room. After the suspects exited the fitting room,  Loss Prevention observed that they left behind broken security sensors in the room. The suspects tried to exit the store but were detained by Loss Prevention. Responding officers investigated the incident and discovered that one suspect had a warrant for his arrest and was arrested, the second suspect was cited.

Officers responded to a report of a detained shoplifter. Loss Prevention stated that he witnessed the suspect walk into a changing room with five pieces of the store’s merchandise but came back out with only two items visible, which were then placed on the return rack.  The suspect was detained from exiting the store for further investigation. Responding Officers met with Loss Prevention, reviewed the incident and the suspect was cited.

Theft

200 Winston Dr
Officers responded to a report of a theft. Loss Prevention stated he witnessed the suspect put store merchandise into the waistband of his pants and proceeded to exit the store without paying for the items. Loss Prevention detained the suspect from exiting the store for further investigation. Responding Officers met with Loss Prevention, reviewed the incident and discovered that the suspect was a missing juvenile. Officers contacted Juvenile Probation and transported the suspect to the appropriate authorities. 

 

Battery – Cited

300 Bright St
Officers responded to a report of a battery; the victim stated the landlord’s daughter attacked her. The victim said that the suspect suddenly grabbed onto her hair, her body and her backpack before shaking her around. The suspect retorted that she was helping her mom, the landlord, to evict the victim due to unpaid rent issues.  At the point of the confrontation, the suspect stated she was trying to explain to the victim that she was being given a notice for not paying rent. The suspect was cited.
