Burglary – Shoplifting – Conspiracy – Cited

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifting in progress. Responding officers located the suspect among a group of people at a bus stop based on descriptions given by the witness, the store’s loss prevention agent. The witness reported that he observed a group of suspects enter the store and steal approximately 10 Iphones that were on display. The witness confirmed that the suspect was among the group the officers located but did not recognize the rest of the people with the suspect. Officers detained the suspect and determined she was a juvenile. The suspect was transported to the Juvenile Justice Center and cited.

Burglary – Possession of stolen property – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of a burglary. The victim reported that he was woken up by someone in the bedroom who picking up a backpack that belonged to the his roommate. The victim attempted to detain him but the suspect managed to get away. The victim told the officers that suspect opened the locked box that was attached to the front door and used the key that was inside to open the front door. The victim’s roommate told the officers that his cell phone was also missing and the officers were able to track the cell phone to the Tenderloin area. Officers contacted the officers in the Tenderloin area and advised them about the burglary and stolen phone that was being tracked. The Tenderloin officers located a suspect matching the description given. While talking to the suspect, Taraval officers called the stolen cell phone number which immediately caused the suspect’s pocket to begin ringing. The suspect was arrested.

Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim reported that she had rented a room to the suspect. The victim was having a conversation about the rent being due. However, an argument ensued during the conversation in which the suspect got angry and punched the victim in her face before fleeing the scene.

Officer responded to a report of a domestic fight. When the officers arrived, the suspect was outside and told the officers that he and the victim were having an argument over money and the possibility of a divorce. The victim told the officers that she was having an argument and the suspect threw a remote, which hit her hips. The officers also spoke to a witness, their daughter, who confirmed that a remote was thrown. After learning that the suspect would be arrested, the victim recanted her story and saying that she never mentioned a remote being thrown. After further investigation the suspect was arrested.
