Officers were on patrol when they observed a motorcycle that had failed to make a stop at a posted intersection controlled by stop signs. Officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that he did not have a license for motorcycle. The driver was cited.
Dog Bite – Cited
2900 Santiago St

Officers responded to a report of a dog bite incident. The victim told the officer that he was walking westbound on Santiago St when two small dogs, who were on a long leash, came up and bit him on his right shin. Officers met with the dog owner and she confirmed the incident. The dog owner was cited for the incident.
Battery – Vandalism – Arrested and Cited

Bright St & Shields St
Officers responded to a report of vandalism. Upon arrival, the suspect told the officers that he and the victim had been separated and that he was moving some items out of the house while the victim was not at home so they wouldn’t get into an argument. The suspect said that the victim arrived home, started to get angry and started an argument. The suspect also reported the victim punctured his moving truck’s tire, which was confirmed by the victim. However, she only did so because she was angry after she was pushed and struck in the face. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested for domestic violence and the victim was cited for vandalism.

Officers were conducting traffic enforcement when they observed a vehicle traveling 52 mph in a 35 mph zone. The officer conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that he was never issued a drivers license. The driver was cited.

Officers responded to a report of an unwanted guest. The caller told the officers that his roommate had a guest over the house for the last three days and that they had overstayed their welcome. The officers conducted a computer check and discovered that the roommate had a warrant for her arrest. The roommate was arrested.
Vandalism to Vehicle – Trespassing – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of a trespasser. The victim told the officer that she thought her former business partner broke into the store to sleep in the office. Officers searched the store and located the suspect asleep inside the trunk of a vehicle. The victim also located damages to a customer’s vehicle that had not been there the day before. The suspect was arrested.

Great Highway & Kirkham St
A sergeant was on patrol when he heard the sound of a car’s engine roaring loudly and observed a vehicle in front of him take off at a high rate of speed. The sergeant followed the vehicle and noted that the driver’s speed approximated 70 mph and failed to stop at multiple posted stop signs as well. The sergeant conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and a computer check revealed that the driver did not have a valid driver’s license. The driver’s insurance had also expired last December. The vehicle was towed for the reckless driving and driver was cited.
