Auto Theft – Arrest

As numerous vehicle breaks have occurred at the 16th Avenue Tiled Steps, officers were assigned to patrol the area. In this incidence, officers observed a Honda vehicle matching an auto burglary description. The officers observed the suspect in the car constantly scanning both to the left and to the right of an area while driving. Considering this suspicious behavior, the officers theorized that he was looking for a vehicle to break into. The officers pulled the driver over and detained him; a search resulted in burglary tools on the suspect and a records check confirmed the suspect was on felony probation. The suspect was arrested.
Battery

Officers responded to a report of battery. The victim stated she was assaulted by her sister after an argument and their father had to stop the assault. After the incident, the victim went to her room and called the police. The officers called for an ambulance to assess the victim for sustained injuries during the altercation. The victim stated she wanted the police to talk to her sister but refused to press charges against her sister.
Domestic Abuse

Officers responded to a call about a domestic violence incident. A health practitioner stated she needed to report a domestic violence that occurred to her patient but the victim did not want to corporate or report it to the police. The officers attempted to reach the victim through her cell phone and locate her whereabouts but were unable to contact the victim.
