Officers responded to a shoplifting report. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the department store’s Loss Prevention. Loss prevention stated that they were working undercover when they observed the suspect approach the accessory wall and select several items of merchandise before placing them into his jacket. Loss prevention stated that the suspect then proceeded to exit the store. Loss prevention identified themselves outside the store, handcuffed and detained the suspect until officers arrived. A computer check revealed that the suspect had multiple traffic warrants and the suspect was cited.
