Vehicle Violation – No Driver’s License – Cited

Officers were conducting LIDAR traffic enforcement. Officer observed a vehicle traveling 46 mph in a 35 mph zone. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that the driver was never issued a drivers license. The driver was cited.

Kirkham St & 38th Ave
Officers were on patrol when they observed a suspect riding his bicycle on the sidewalk, which was in violation of a traffic code. An officer stopped the suspect to speak to him and noted that the suspect was unduly nervous and eager to leave. The officers also observed a utility knife clipped to the suspect’s pocket and that there was a scent of marijuana emanating from the suspect. Officers conducted a search located another knife which was 9 inches long in a sheath and was concealed. The suspect was holding onto a bag which revealed another machete, ammunition, a lock pick gun and recreational drugs. The suspect told the officers that he had found the bag and it didn’t belong to him. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.

The victim came to Taraval Station to report an assault. The victim said that he had just arrived home when an unknown suspect struck him on the head and he passed out. The victim told the officer that nothing was stolen and he did not known why someone attacked him.
