Theft from a Person – Cited

9th Ave & Irving St
Officer responded to a report of theft. The victim reported that she and the suspect, her son, was downtown earlier in day and waiting for the bus when her son asked for money to support his drug habit. The victim refused to give her son any money but while they were boarding the bus, the suspect stole the victim’s wallet from her purse. Later in the day, the victim received a phone call from the suspect who wanted to know the pin number to her ATM card. The victim met with the suspect and they had an argument which caused bystanders to call the police. The suspect was later cited.

Shoplifting – Cited

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. Lost prevention agent stated that he observed the suspect walk into the store and paced back and forth for a few minutes. Then, the suspect concealed some earphones and walked out of the store without paying for the merchandise. The suspect was cited.

Assault – Arrested

600 Capitol Ave
Officers responded to a report of a domestic incident. Officers arrived on scene and the victim pointed to the suspect, who had tried to run him over with a vehicle. The officers initiated an investigation, placed the suspect in cuffs and put her in the back of the patrol vehicle. During the investigation, the suspect was yelling and tried to kick out the glass window of the patrol car. The victim told the officers that he was bring some clothes to over to his son when he started having an argument with the suspect. The suspect attempted to punch the victim, but missed. The suspect then got into her vehicle and pinned the victim between two cars. The suspect was arrested.

Officers responded to a vehicle burglary. Officers arrived on scene and located a suspect matching the description given by a witness. Officers located the vehicle where the suspect had been in and determined it was stolen. The suspect told the officer that he had met a friend who led him to the vehicle and said that he could have the items that were in the trunk. A computer check revealed that the suspect was on probation. The suspect was arrested.
