Warrant – Arrested

14th Ave & Irving St
Officers were on patrol when they made contact with two subjects. The officers informed them that the particular area is known for having a high rate of auto burglaries and asked if they could know their names. One of the subjects recently had his name checked and was clear of any wants or warrants. The other subject stated he was active on probation. A computer check on the subject revealed a active warrant for his arrest. The suspect was arrested.

Stay Away Order Violation

Officers were on duty at Taraval Police Station when the victim entered to report a stay away violation. The victim stated her ex-fiancé came to her residence without her permission and attempted to open the front door. After finding it locked with a dead bolt chained to the door, the  suspect forced his way in. The victim reported that she ran to her bedroom and locked it until the suspect left the premises. The victim stated the suspect made a threat to her while she met the suspect to drop off their child via a child custody agreement but refused to acknowledge further questions from officers.

Shoplifting – Cited

20th Ave & Winston Dr
Officers responded to a report regarding a suspect taken into custody for shoplifting. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the department’s Asset Protection agent. The agent stated he observed the suspect through camera surveillance which showed the suspect grabbing merchandise from the “Hotel” section of department and exiting through the “House ware” section of the department. The agent reported that he approached the suspect outside of the department store, identified themselves as Asset Protection, and detained the suspect until officers arrived on scene. The suspect was cited.

Robbery

2000 Irving St
Officers responded to a report regarding a possible, in-progress, bank robbery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated the suspect came up to her window and gave her a note. The suspect said he had a gun and opened a black bag to show it to her but the victim stated she did not see a gun. The victim gave the suspect all the money she had in her teller drawer and reported that the suspect left the bank in an unknown direction.

Domestic Violence

Officers responded to a residence regarding a standby situation. The victim stated he called his ex-wife because he wanted to retrieve personal property from the residence but was threatened by his ex-wife when he called to inform him about his intentions. The ex-wife stated she is willing to give the victim his property as requested but only with the police standing, but she was unavailable to do so that day.
