Driving While Under the Influence – Traffic Violation – Arrested

Ulloa St & 37th Ave
An officer was on patrol when a citizen flagged him down to report a hit and run. The officer watched the vehicle as it headed south on Sunset Blvd while other units responded to assist. Officers located the vehicle, conducted a traffic stop and asked driver was asked to exit the vehicle. The officers then detained the suspect and escorted him to the curb line. While walking, the driver was unsteady on his feet and officers could smell a weak odor of alcoholic beverages coming from the driver’s breath and clothes. The driver also exhibited drooping eyelids and swayed back and forth, which are all signs of being intoxicated. Officers conducted a field sobriety test which the driver failed. After further investigating and testing, the driver was arrested.

Officers responded to Ingleside Station to meet with a victim regarding an incident that had occurred in the Taraval District. The victim told the officers that she had been getting into arguments with and her father regarding her new boyfriend. The victim told the officer that today she lied about going to work so she could see her boyfriend but her  father found out and told her to come home. The victim said that when she arrived home, her father was waiting for her and an argument ensued. The victim said that she tried to leave, but her father grabbed her back and tossed her on to the floor. The victim attempted to leave again and her father prevented her from leaving. The victim finally left and reported the incident to the police. After further investigation, the father was arrested.

Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle failing to make a complete stop at a stop sign. Officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that his license had been suspended. The driver was unable to provide proof of insurance. The driver was cited.

Robbery Attempted – Arrested

1500 Sloat Blvd
Officers responded to a report of an attempted theft. The victim told the officer that she was walking in the parking lot while pushing a shopping cart which contained two bags of groceries. The victim noticed the suspect riding a bicycle towards her and then tried to grab the groceries. A short struggle ensued and after a few seconds the victim ran into the store, with the suspect fallowing after her. Fearful, the suspect then walked directly into the bathroom. The officers located the suspect and was told that he was only offering to help the victim carry her groceries. The suspect was arrested.

Breaking Windows – Under the Influence – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of vandalism. The victim and witnesses told the officers that they were inside the school and having a party. They suddenly heard a loud bang and saw the suspect standing in front of a large, cracked, window. The suspect was detained and appeared to be intoxicated. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.

Search Warrant – Arrested

SIT sergeant was investigating a burglary that had occurred in our district. The sergeant located video and other evidence that helped identified the suspect and obtained a search warrant. The sergeant and numerous officers executed the warrant and located the suspect. A search of his residence revealed the clothing that he was wearing during the burglary. They also located cocaine, bullets and multiple other items use for selling narcotics. The suspect was arrested.

Officers responded to a domestic altercation. The victim told the officers that she was arguing with the suspect outside the house when the suspect got angry and shattered her windshield with his hand before throwing paint all over her vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene.

False Personating – Cited

2200 32nd Ave
Officers responded to a noise complaint. The officer arrived on scene and observed an intoxicated suspect urinating in the front yard. Officers approached the suspect and attempted to identify the suspect, but the suspect provided the officer a name of a relative. After further investigation, the officers cited him.

Battery – Arrested

200 Byxbee St
Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute. The victim told the officers that upon arriving home, the suspect approached him started arguing with him. The suspect then started throwing items at him and started hitting him while accusing him of cheating. The victim told the officer that he had to grab onto the suspect wrist to stop her from hitting him. A witness observed the incident and the victim believed that the suspect had also been drinking. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
