Assault – Arrested

1000 Ocean Ave
Officers responded to a report of a violent female who kicked someone on to the ground. The suspect was seen fleeing the scene but was caught and detained by officers. The victim stated the suspect approached her from behind and attempted to cut in front of her at a fast food restaurant. The victim stated she told the suspect to “back off” and the suspect then pulled down her hoodie forcefully from behind which caused the victim to fall to the ground. While the victim was on the floor, the suspect kicked the victim two times in the head. The suspect was arrested.

Vandalism – Cited

1700 24th Ave
Officers responded to a report of an argument. The victim stated there had been ongoing problems between himself and the suspect, his tenant. The victim stated the suspect accused him of entering her residence and vandalizing her room. The victim informed officers that the suspect had smashed eggs and thrown vegetableshad  on his front door as well as the windshield and driver’s door of his vehicle. The suspect was cited.

Trespassing – Stalking

Officers responded to a high school regarding a possible stalking incident. Upon arrival, officers were met by the school’s Dean who reported that the victim had confided that someone has been following her after school. The victim stated the suspect walked up the stairs from the basement exit of the gym at the school, claimed to be in high school and had previously attended the same school as her. The suspect also engaged in conversation with the victim, including about an online game they both played. The victim also began to receive random friend requests recently on an online game she plays. The victim remembers that she’s seen the suspect on several occasions and he attempted to make small talk with her. The victim said that she has also told the suspect several times to “stop stalking me!” The suspect was confronted by school security as officers were responding to the high school. After further investigation, the suspect was told to not contact the victim or seek her out in person or by internet and was released.

Battery

16th Ave & Judah St
Officers responded to a report of battery. The victim stated she had gotten off the N-Judah and was walking on the street level platform. The victim stated after she had gotten off when she felt two taps on her shoulder and as she turned around, the suspect punched her jaw once. The victim did not know the suspect and the suspect did not say a word to her. The victim screamed for help and as pedestrians arrived at scene, the suspect walked away. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.

Violation of Restraining Order

Officers responded to a report regarding a possible domestic violence incident. The victim stated she had returned home when she and her boyfriend began arguing about money issues. The victim stated the suspect had been intoxicated and pushed her around. The victim also reported that she was also punched in the back and was strangled by the boyfriend during the argument. The victim stated the suspect had also taken their joint owned currency. A computer check revealed the suspect was on probation for domestic violence. In light of the circumstances, the officers obtained an emergency protective order for the victim.
