Battery – Violation of Restraining Order

Officers responded to a report of a possible domestic dispute. The victim told the officers that she and the suspect were living together at the suspect’s parent’s house. The victim said that while she was having an argument with the suspect, the victim threaten to call the suspect’s parole officer and was about to leave when the suspect rolled a heavy cabinet over her foot to prevent her from leaving. The suspect then left the house immediately after that. A computer check revealed that two existing restraining order protecting the victim.

Officers responded to a report of a suspect with a knife. The victim told the officer that the suspect, his brother, was holding the knife. Earlier in the day, the victim said that he had gone over to pick up his daughter and while there, the victim got in to a heated argument with the suspect over the suspect disrespecting their parents. The victim then went to drop his daughter off at his father’s workplace. While the victim was sitting in his vehicle by himself, the suspect rode by on his bicycle. The suspect stopped directly next to the driver’s side door before pulling out a pocket knife and threatening to both hurt the victim and spray him with pepper spray. The victim picked up his cell phone and called the police while the suspect was riding away.

A Sergeant from SIT, who was investigating a battery incident that occurred a few weeks earlier, received a call from the victim that the suspect was at his house. Officers responded to the location and were able to locate the suspect and detained him. The suspect told the sergeant that he remembered the incident and that he had thought the victim had stolen his phone. The suspect told the sergeant that he searched the victim’s jacket only to see if she had taken her phone. The suspect was later cited.

An officer responded to a report of a suspect sleeping on the steps of a residence.  Responding officers located the suspect and attempted to obtain the suspect’s identification. However, the suspect refused to cooperate, pushed past the officer and fled the scene. Other officers arrived on scene, located and detained the suspect on 19th Ave and Noriega street. A search of the suspect revealed that he had hypodermic needles and a small metal cap with burn marks on the bottom. The suspect was later cited.
